Sights - Lung Khuy Caves

Lung Khuy cave was opened in 2015. It is considered one of the most beautiful caves in Ha Giang. Adorned with great stalactites that hang from the ceilings, it is truly one of the most beautiful of the region. The caverns are quite large - some parts being over 50m high.

Inside the cave, it is very wet and the contours of the cave vary constantly. To preserve the cave, metal walkways have been installed so we can get around easily. The walkway is around 500m long with all its ups and downs and takes us around 30 mins from start to finish.

Spiritual and local significance

These caves have been known about by local villagers for centuries. They are still in active use by people who come here to ask the gods for good luck, happy marriage and such things. There are other ceremonies performed down there as well for the village as a whole. This is done in special areas of the cave that are not very well open to the public.
