Tours - Ha Giang

Right now this is the hot destination for the adventurer. Your tour comes with English speaking tour guide (thats me – Ying). There are amazing waterfalls at Ban Gioc to see, rice terraces, native tribes that we will introduce you to, the limestone karst forests, the caves at Lung Khuy, Khuoi My and Phuong Thien. As well as sights such as the Hmong King Palace. Depending on your timetable it is also possible to incorporate market visits to your tour (check in the options section when booking).

To see the most of the wild landscape and remoteness that Ha Giang has to offer, our multi day tours last between 3-6 days (listed below), with the most popular tour being the 5 day tour. All tours are based around the Ha Giang Loop also known as the peace road. Ha Giang has many wonderful things to show the traveller, from the rugged un-developed landscapes to the traditional ways of tribal life from the people of the region. We also have our own dedicated driver who stays with us for the entire tour as the roads have very steep grades and local knowledge is essential.

Getting to know Ha Giang

The province is the most remote in Vietnam with its rugged terrain and limited transport routes. This sparsely populated part of the world barely has 850,000 people for nearly 8000 sq/km so a car is essential to see more of the big sights - this is why many of these tours have a dedicated driver. The ethnic groups make up 88% of the population of this region. To get around there is only one option - the Ha Giang Loop Road, also known as the Peace Road.

Hà Giang has many mountains. There are green forests as well as the famous “rock forests” of the Dong Van Geopark. These giant limestone karsts towering many hundreds of metres high also provide excellent conditions for caves to form. Hà Giang’s central plateau is good for agriculture, where plums, peaches, persimmons and tea are grown which the province exports.

Hanoi pickup - private driver

These tours as the title suggests have a Hanoi pickup and have a private driver throughout. These tours make the most sense for people restricted for time, in a larger group of family / friends or just want the convenience of everything taken care of door to door as it were.

Hanoi to Ha Giang VIP sleeper coach

These tours use a public coach company to get you from Hanoi to Ha Giang. We have chosen to get the best seats in the house mind you. This saves a lot of money on the private driver. These tours are best suited for solo explorers / couples and smaller groups of friends. Above 5 people it starts to actually be cheaper to have a private driver. Savings for a couple could amount to as much as $320 over a private driver for the 5 day tour.
