Sights - Lao Chai Village
A village that spans both sides of the valley with one main road and the river in the middle. The village is populated by mostly the Black Hmong ethnic tribe. The village has many rice terraces though being nearer the bottom they are less stepped than others as the land is flatter. Rice and corn is mostly farmed here.
Along the main road there 2-3 places to eat as well as buy some local handicrafts and traditional clothing. The village misses out alas as Ta Van is right next door and has taken has taken much of its trade away.

A nice little cafe by the side of the road. We sometimes stop by for a quick break here.

The dry season we see the Muong Hoa river all but dry up. The rocky bed here is exposed. Not something you usually see.
