Sights - Lao Chai Village
A small village that spans both sides of the valley with one main road and the river in the middle. The village is populated by mostly the Black Hmong ethnic tribe. The village has many rice terraces though being nearer the bottom they are less stepped than others as the land is flatter. Rice and corn is mostly farmed here.
Walking along the main road,
Along the main road there a few places to eat or just stop a for coffee. There are also a few shops selling local handicrafts and traditional clothing. The village misses out however as Ta Van is right next door and has taken has taken much of its trade away though it has been having a little resurgence since the road was improved and street lights were added.
