Sights - Su Pan / 2 Villages
This village is actually a collection of villages in a commune.
Su Pan (1)
This is nearer Sapa than Su Pan 2, high up in the Muong Hoa Valley. Mostly Hmong people, this village was farming only. Now because of the splendid views of the valley below and easier access to Sapa, it has become a homestay hotspot. Most have been built in the last 5 years and this has improved the life of the locals greatly.
Su Pan 2
A destination end for many treks, this village has a high street with many local shops. Because of the commerce, Su Pan 2 was always better off than it’s sibling Su Pan (1), however with the advent of homestays - this is now more balanced. Su Pan 2 is populated mostly by Black H’mong and Red Dao peoples.

These machines are 130 years old and more. This shop sells most of the machines you see making all the traditional clothing in the surrounding villages.
