Sapa Glass Bridge

Sights - Sapa Glass Bridge

A new addition to the Sapa - at the top of O Quy Ho Pass is just a short car ride away from the centre is the Sapa Glass Bridge. So named because of the other glass bridge’s world wide rather than being an actual bridge.

The attractions structure is made entirely of clear glass, featuring 3 layers with a total thickness of 7 cm. It is built with high-strength tempered glass, capable of supporting up to 3,000 visitors. However for safety reasons, however, only 500 people are allowed on the bridge at once.

To get to the bridge, tourists ride in glass lifts that can hold up to 30 people at once. These lifts move at a comfortable speed and can take about 1,200 people per hour. The lifts provide a complete panorama of the O Quy Ho Pass, the Northwest mountains and forests that stretch below.

When visitors exit the lift, they will find themselves on a 60m glass bridge extending from the edge of the cliff. There’s also an impressive glass walkway over 500 meters long, secured to the side of the cliff high up. For those that need a little extra excitement there are other activities to enjoy.

  • Adventure Suspension Bridge - A lovely suspended walkway 200m long. No safety nets and 171 widely gapped steps to add to the thrill. Railings on one side are provided to hold you as you steady the traverse.

  • Zipline - A single steel cable takes you many hundreds of metres across and down to the valley floor below. Speeds reach up to 40kph. Hold tight for the exciting ride.

  • Bungee Jump - Jump from the extended platform at the far reach of the glass bridge with your ankles wrapped with elastic chord for your extreme-iest excitement.

  • Paragliding - This place really has it all. Paragliders are with a pilot to ensure safety during your thrilling adventure.

Operating times & Entrance Fees

The attraction is open everyday from 0800-1700 though this may change during the quiet season. Charges are 500,000 vnd for adults for a pass for the bridge and glass walkways. Activities such as the paragliding and zipline are extra.
