Thung Khe Pass (also known as White Stone Pass) is located on the road from Hanoi to Mai Chau, at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. The pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Mai Chau Valley and the surrounding limestone mountains.
The pass is a popular stopping point for travellers making the journey from Hanoi. At the top you’ll find local vendors selling corn, sugarcane and other snacks - a welcome break after the winding mountain road.
Getting there
Thung Khe Pass is approximately 130km from Hanoi, usually reached in around 3-4 hours by car or motorbike. The pass is the natural gateway to the Mai Chau region.
